Privacy Policy

PRIME-LINK Privacy Policy:

Thank you for choosing Prime-Link. This Privacy Policy outlines how Prime-Link, Inc. (“Prime-Link,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, secures, and discloses personal information about you. It also provides information about your options regarding the use, access, deletion, and correction of your personal information.

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Prime-Link handles personal information that it collects when you use or access the Site or Services provided by Prime-Link, including interactions with Prime-Link links on third-party websites. This Privacy Policy also covers information shared by Prime-Link’s customers with Prime-Link.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of other businesses that Prime-Link does not own or control, such as Third Party Services, which are services and applications provided by other companies that you may access through the Services. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these Third Party Services, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Information We Collect

Depending on the sources, Prime-Link may get personal data about you, as detailed in this Privacy Policy. These sources may include the following: I when you create a user account with Prime-Link through the Site or the Services (your "Account"), which may involve creating an account through a third-party social networking service; (ii) when you use the Services; or (iii) when you view or interact with a Prime-Link link (either our prime.link links or one of our branded domains) on a third-party website. The following categories of data may be gathered from you, some of which might qualify as personal data under the rules in force.

When You Register for a Prime-Link Account

We may collect personal information such as your name, phone number, company name, industry, job title, company size, email address, and sign-in information when you create an account. If you choose to create an account using your login information from a third-party account (such as Google, Facebook, Apple, or Twitter), we will access and collect the personal information provided by that account, subject to your privacy settings with the third-party. This enables you to log into your account with us. We use your contact information to send you updates about our services, communicate with you about your account, your activities on our site and services, and changes to our policies. Prime-Link reserves the right to contact you when necessary, but you may opt-out of certain types of messages through your account settings.

Certain features of our services allow registered users to submit their own content, such as written descriptions of URLs, comments, images, and videos. Any content you submit to our services will be retained by Prime-Link, unless you request its deletion as described in this privacy policy. Even if you terminate your account, the content you submitted may still be retained.

When You Create a Prime-Link

The Services offer a feature where users can create shortened URLs of websites, known as "Prime-Link" or "Prime-Links," without needing to register for an account. When a user creates a Prime-Link, Prime-Link collects and stores the original and shortened URL. If the user is logged into their Account, this information will be associated with their Account. Additionally, Prime-Link collects and stores the user's IP address, geolocation data (derived from the IP address), the date and time of the URL shortening, and the name of any social networking platform where the Prime-Link is shared, along with the user's username on that platform.

When You Interact With a Prime-Link

When a user interacts with a Prime-Link, Prime-Link automatically collects personal information about the interaction, such as clicks or views, including the IP address and location derived from the IP address, internet or other electronic network activity information like referring websites or services, the date and time of each access, device settings, cookies, and mobile advertising identifiers. This information is used to provide the Services, to analyze usage trends, and to detect and prevent malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful activity.

Other Information We Automatically Collect

When visiting the Site, Prime-Link automatically collects the user's IP address and location derived from the IP address, internet or other electronic network activity information like referring websites or services, the date and time of each access, device settings, and cookie information. This data is used to analyze and improve the Site.

Third Party Services

Prime-Link may use third-party APIs and SDKs to provide certain functions in the Services. The Services may also allow users to share their content and Prime-Links through Third Party Services, such as Twitter. If a user chooses to connect Prime-Link to a Third Party Service, information related to their use of that service may be collected, such as authentication tokens. This information will only be used for the specific reason for which it was provided, and the Third Party Service may restrict the information provided based on the user's privacy settings.

Finally, Prime-Link receives location information from a third-party service provider to infer the location of computers or devices that visit the website or interact with Prime-Links. Business contact information for customers and prospects is also received from a third-party service provider.

Cookies and Other Similar Technologies

At Prime-Link and with the help of our partners, we use cookies or similar technologies to analyze website trends, administer the site, track user activity, and collect demographic information about our user base. Cookies are small pieces of text that your web browser may receive when you visit a website, and we use them to help our servers recognize your browser and understand how you use our site and services.

In addition to these functions, Prime-Link cookies also allow us to track your clicks on Prime-Link links using a unique identifier assigned to you through one or more cookies stored in your browser. We may link this identifier to other information we collect about you, including your IP address, your Prime-Link link activity, and your account information.

While most web browsers offer options to turn off the cookie feature or accept each new cookie in a variety of ways, disabling cookies may prevent you from accessing certain features on our site. It's important to note that we currently do not recognize do-not-track signals.

We also work with third-party partners to track user activity on our site and to manage advertising on other websites. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or similar technologies to provide interest-based advertising based on your browsing activity and interests. If you wish to opt-out of interest-based advertising, you can do so by following the links provided in our privacy policy.

Please note that this privacy policy only covers the use of cookies by Prime-Link and not any third-party services. We do not control when or how third-party cookies are placed on your computer. If you would like to manage other companies' cookies used for online advertising, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance's Consumer Choice Page.

Opt-Out Mechanisms

To opt-out of having your web browser or IP address associated with visits to the Prime-Link.net website or Prime-Link Links, you can click on the appropriate links below. Clicking on the opt-out choice for Prime-Link Links or Prime-Link.com will install a cookie on your browser that instructs our servers not to associate your IP address and browser with Prime-Link Links you create, click, or view. Please note that if you clear your cookies, you will need to click on the opt-out choice again. It's important to know that cookie-based opt-outs must be performed on each device and browser that you wish to have opted-out, and they are not effective on mobile applications. However, on many mobile devices, application users may limit tracking via their device settings. Also, note that even if you use these opt-out mechanisms, we will still automatically collect the IP addresses of computers or mobile devices that click on or create Prime-Link Links, but we won't associate them with your browser or Prime-Link account.

Children's Privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or older as required by applicable law). If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will take steps to promptly delete such information from our records.

We use the personal information we collect for various purposes related to operating our website and providing our services, including:

Using Information Across Devices

We may analyze the information we collect to determine whether a single individual has created or interacted with Prime-Link links on different devices. This helps us to prevent malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful activity and understand how users are using our Services. For instance, if you created a Prime-Link link on your home computer's WiFi network and later clicked on a Prime-Link link on your mobile device using the same WiFi network, we may infer that the same individual created and clicked on both links because both events were associated with the same IP address during the same time frame.

Other Legitimate Interests

We may use your personal information for any purpose we disclosed to you when you gave it or that is permitted by law, including direct marketing, research (including marketing research), network and information security, and preventing fraudulent, harmful, and illegal actions.

Sharing Information

Our services are intended to enable the sharing of information with others, including customers who use Prime-Link Link Metrics. Consequently, some categories of personal information that are generated when you use our services may be shared publicly or with specific categories of third parties for the business purposes outlined below.

Public Activity on Prime-Link Services

By default, many of your actions on and through our services are visible to the public. For instance, when you create a Prime-Link Link, both the original URLs you've shortened and the resulting Prime-Link Links are made public.

Sharing with Organizational Accounts

As per relevant laws, if you register a Prime-Link account using an email address that's been provided by an organization (such as an employer or educational institution), we may disclose your email address and information about your account (such as the number of links you've created) to that organization. This is carried out to assess the organization's interest in creating or managing an enterprise account, or for related purposes.

Sharing with Customers

We may disclose the personal information we gather to our customers in accordance with this privacy policy. For example, when you create a Prime-Link Link to one of our customer's websites, they may have access to the original URL, the date and time the Prime-Link Link was generated, the location of its creation (based on your IP address), and summarized data about the clicks and views of the Prime-Link Links. This may involve the number of times the Prime-Link Link was shared, whether it was viewed, the comparison of its performance to that of all Prime-Link Links pointing to the same content, whether other users are sharing a Prime-Link Link to the same content, geographic regions where the content is being viewed, and identification of social networks on which the Prime-Link Links appear. We may also share Prime-Link Link Metrics with customers to help detect, prevent, and deter malicious, fraudulent, or illegal activity.

Third-Party Sharing

If you create a Prime-Link Link, you can share it through third-party services. Any information you choose to distribute through these services, such as a social media post, may be accessible to users of those services. Additionally, you can access other third-party services by clicking on links in the Statistics page for a Prime-Link Link. We suggest that you review the terms of service and privacy policies of these third-party services as Prime-Link does not regulate or bear responsibility for their privacy practices.

Sharing Information with Third-Party Service Providers

We may enlist the help of third-party companies to perform certain tasks on our behalf, and we may need to share your information with them to fulfill these tasks. For example, we might share your data with Service Providers who conduct research and analysis on user behavior, provide advertising products and services to our users, process payments, and offer email marketing and support services. Our agreements with these Service Providers permit them to access your data only to the extent necessary to provide us with their services. Our agreements with our Service Providers also cover any transfers to other third parties.

Disclosure of Information in Business Transfers

If we are involved in an acquisition or sale of our company assets or in any other situation where user information would be transferred as a business asset, we may transfer or provide information about our users to the new owner. We will notify you of any such transfer via email or by prominently posting a notice on our website. The new owner may continue to use your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as allowed by law.

Disclosure of Information to Protect Prime-Link and Others

When we have reason to believe it is necessary to: I comply with laws, regulations, or legal requests, including those from government agencies; (ii) enforce our privacy policies or terms of service, including looking into potential violations; (iii) prevent, detect, or address illegal, fraudulent, or suspicious activity; (iv) handle user support requests; or (v) protect the rights, property, or safety of Prime-Link, our company, or our users. In some circumstances, we might have to disclose your information to other businesses or organizations in order to stop or stop any harmful, fraudulent, or illegal behaviour.

Sharing Information with Your Consent

We may share your information if you instruct us to do so, either by intentionally sharing Prime-Link Links or content with others through our Services, or by providing information that we have notified you will be shared in a particular manner (such as sharing or posting it with a third-party service).

To provide you with the services outlined in this policy, information about you may be transferred to the United States or other countries outside the EU or European Economic Area (EEA) or processed there, depending on your location. We rely on appropriate legal bases for each data transfer to protect your personal data. If you have any questions about international data transfers, please feel free to contact us for further information.

Information Security

We take measures to protect the privacy and security of your Account information, such as requiring a password and offering two-factor authentication. It's important to select and protect your password appropriately and sign out after you finish accessing your Account to help prevent unauthorized access. We use reasonable security processes and controls to safeguard the information we collect about our users, but no security measure is foolproof. Therefore, Prime-Link cannot guarantee or warrant that such measures will prevent unauthorized access to your information. If a security breach occurs, we will promptly notify you if your personal information has been compromised as required by applicable law.

In certain circumstances, we may be required by law to retain your personal information.

Please note that the Prime-Link links you have created and shared cannot be deleted or disabled, even if you delete your Account, to ensure that they continue to function for all our users. Similarly, any shortening and sharing activity that has already occurred on your Account cannot be deleted. However, if you are concerned about unauthorized use of your Account, you can delete your Account within your Account settings.

Please see the Cookies section above for additional choices you may have.
